December 2019 Newsletter
Happy Advent! In school and at home we are preparing for the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, the son of God. We are focussing on preparing ourselves ‘spiritually’ so we are able to spread the love, peace and joy of Christ as the light of our world. We are offering lots of chances for you to join with us to reflect. Our Christingle service and our Advent Mass this week are a perfect place to start. Please join us if you can.
A special goodbye
Mrs Smith, our wonderful PSA, will be leaving us in January to begin a new post at Imagination Village. As you know she will be hugely missed as she has been a part of St Cuthberts for 19 years. Mrs Smith is reducing her hours and focussing on what she does best ‘playing and having fun with the children’. We wish her a very happy and healthy future and thank her for everything she has done for St Cuthberts and what a difference she has made. Thank you
A huge thank you for your overwhelming generosity and support for our school. We made £700 which is amazing and will go to our pantomime, parties and gifts next week.
Tomorrow our KS2 children (y3 upwards) will lead us in a Christingle service. All are very welcome to join us and begin the journey towards Christmas.
Please join us in Church on Wednesday at 9.15am for Mass with Father Jim to mark the start of the season of Advent.
Children can come dressed in their party clothes but please be aware that they are outside at lunchtimes and playtimes so please ensure they are warm and have suitable footwear.
